Google has been laying the groundwork for integrating Google Now into its Chrome browser for a while and today they’re one step closer. The new betas of Chrome for desktop and Chrome OS include Google Now integration in the notification center. Chrome beta users simply have to log into the browser with the same account they use for Google Now and the feature will automatically be activated.
With Google Now integration, Chrome users will be able to interact with Google’s personal assistant right inside the browser. For example, users will be given traffic notifications in Chrome if conditions have changed or when an appointment is approaching. Google doesn’t specify which Google Now cards work with the beta but they have released a screenshot of the feature which shows cards for flight info, sports scores, traffic, and shipping notifications.
